FOXGEAR BALLADE

One of the most important and distinctive guitar effects of the 80’s must be the chorus; able to transform a clean sound into such a wonderfully lush and ethereal tone that it has become a milestone in music history. In the 80s though, the analog pedals that produced that iconic sound, provided the musician a constant battle with tone loss and loads of unwanted noise.

When the Foxgear engineers began the development of the new Foxgear Ballade Chorus, they wanted to revive the typical sounds of the great units, like the Boss CE-1 and CE-2, but with specif-ic requirements; keep the circuit totally analog, design the unit to be super quiet with no signal loss at any frequency and with a better response on the low frequency range (making it great also for bass). They accomplished all of their goals. So much so that now the Foxgear Ballade finds home in pedal boards of such esteemed musicians as renowned bassist, Tim Lefebvre (D. Bowie, Toto, Tedeschi-Trucks Band and many others).

As with all Foxgear pedals, the Ballade has Standard Audio-Grade components in the signal path, (no SMD) and comes equipped with our own, anti-pop relay assisted true-bypass circuitry.

Smart dimensions:
The pedals from the Foxgear Professional Compact series measure only 2,3” x 4,7” x 1,1”, and thanks to their top mounted jacks, they can easily fit in any pedalboard. Compared to other manu-facturer’s lesser-quality, side-jack mounted micro-pedals, you can fit 4 Foxgear pedals in the same space normally needed for 3 of the other manufacturer’s micro-pedals.
